Two Canadair Firefighting Aircfraft In Action On The Spot Of A Wood Fire #OYT

Catanzaro, Italy, 26 June

Firefighting planes and a helicopter can be seen spreading water over the burning forest area to extinguish the flames. Two Canadair aircraft crews and a helicopter rescue crew were called for a vast fire of shrubs and Mediterranean scrub at the Biodiversity park fire in Catanzaro Italy at 11.15am on 26th June. On the spot, a fire director coordinates the rescue operations carried out by the ground units, as well as for the coordination of CAN15 Canadair which has been involved in the extinguishing operations for about half an hour. A second Canadair aircraft was also requested to support the one already in operation. About 15 firefighting units have pledged to limit the fire, preventing flames from reaching homes by containing the fire front to prevent it from spreading to the opposite side of the creek affecting the park. Flames are under control. Extinguishing operations are still in progress. No further details are known.
