Wayward Shopping Cart Nabbed By Alaska State Trooper

An Alaska state trooper was spotted after he was using one hand to drive and the other to keep hold of a wayward shopping cart being escorted back to a local grocery store.

The unexpected sight captured on a video by a citizen occurred in the city of Ketchikan, US state of Alaska, yesterday.

The video was posted on the Alaska State Troopers Facebook page.

Ketchikan based Sergeant Cottle spotted the free-roaming, unaccompanied shopping cart on the street.

Following a brief pursuit, the Sergeant was able to restrain the cart.

Citizen Marvin Mccloud captures Sergeant Cottle rolling the shopping cart next to his car as he drives.

The police confirm the cart was safely taken back to the cart return stall.

Entertained citizens loved the video.
