Hoist Rescue Of Injured Woman Hiker At Annadel State Park

The rescue helicopter CHP H-32 was dispatched to Annandale State Park recently in response to a report of an injured female hiker on a difficult-to-access path.

The rescue was carried out by firemen from Sonoma County and Sonoma Life Support on 21 February.

H-32 flew in above the scene and directed firefighters and paramedics to the patient.

The hiker was placed in a rescue harness after H-32 lowered a rescuer to the area. About 75 feet from the trail to H-32, the hiker was hoisted up to the chopper.

H-32 then flew the hiker to a neighbouring LZ, where she was treated at a local hospital by Sonoma Life Support.
