A football star and his tattoo influencer wife have taken a no-sex pledge to heal their troubled marriage.

Celebrity couple Kate Merlan and Jakub Jarecki shot to fame as the stars of the German reality show Temptation Island VIP and wed shortly after the show.

Now Kate, 35, and Jakub, 26, say their four-month-old marriage has hit a rough spot.

And local media report that they have decided to undergo a “sex detox” to heal their relationship.

According to local reports, the couple have spent several weeks abstaining from nookie and plan to hold out until 1st August.

But Kate says she is making it hard for Jakub after going blonde, his favourite hair colour.

She posted a photo of her new look on Instagram for her 183,000 followers and drew a drooling response from Jakub.

He commented on the post: “It looks really cool!”

Kate told her army of Insta followers: “I didn’t know my husband was so blatantly focused on hair colour.

“You can’t imagine how badly he reacted, his body and him.”

The influencer’s followers were also fans of her blonde look, commenting: “It looks so good, please leave it like that.”

In an Instagram follow-up on her new look, Jakub left the comment: “My beautiful baby.”

The footballer will apparently have to wait a few more days before showing Kate what she means to him.
