Brave Female Cop Pulls Trapped Woman Passenger From Burning Car

This is the dramatic moment a woman cop in Texas rescues a trapped passenger in a burning car.

The rescue was filmed in a car park on West Hildebrand Avenue in the city of San Antonio in the US state of Texas on 13th January.

The vehicle reportedly crashed and quickly erupted in flames with the driver managing to escape while a passenger remained trapped inside.

Officer Bianca Garcia was the first to arrive on the scene and quickly donned a pair of gloves to open the door on the burning car.

San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) said: “San Antonio Police Officer Bianca Garcia jumped into action in the early hours of Thursday, January 13, 2022, when she was dispatched to a vehicle fire in a parking lot in the 2000 block of West Hildebrand Avenue.

“When Officer Garcia arrived on scene, bystanders told her a woman was still trapped in the vehicle. Officer Garcia quickly threw on a pair of gloves and ran toward the flames, trying to pry open the passenger’s side door.

“When that didn’t work, Officer Garcia went to the other side of the vehicle and reached inside as the flames continued to spread. Officer Garcia brought the woman to safety with the assistance of other officers who had arrived on scene during the rescue.”

The SAPD added: “You can always count on San Antonio Police to respond in any way we know how.”

After the incident, Officer Garcia was quoted as saying: “I was like ‘if this thing was going to blow, let it blow, but I am going to continue to get her out the car.

“I knew one way or the other I was going to get her out.”

Officer Garcia, who has been with the police force for five years, added: “I’ll lie if I say that wasn’t scary at all. It is just you have to put it to the back and just keep fighting and pushing.”

There have been no updates on the condition of the rescued passenger.
