A jilted hairdresser who convinced his beautiful ex to meet up with him one last time shot her three times in the chest while she sat in her car.

Tragic Elif Gunes, 32, had decided to end her rocky, five-year-long relationship with suspect Koray Gulbar two months ago.

But Gulbar, 34 – also a crimper – was bitter at being ditched and turned up at her salon in the Umraniye district of Istanbul, Turkey, last week.

The two argued before Gulbar slapped his ex and then left.

But days later, he called Elif, telling her: “Let’s meet one last time, I have something to tell you.”

Elif accepted his request, believing he would then disappear from her life.

On the day of the meeting – on Saturday, 23rd July – she had brought some friends along with her in case Gulbar decided to do anything rash.

But, when Gulbar arrived at the meeting place, he told her friends he needed to talk to Elif alone.

Gulbar got into Elif’s car after her friends had left but another argument quickly broke out.

It ended when Gulbar pulled a gun and shot Elif in the chest three times, seriously injuring her.

He then drove her car and left her outside a hospital before fleeing the scene.

Medics were unable to save Elif’s life.

At the time of reporting, Gulbar remained at large.

But police have questioned four suspects over aiding and abetting the crime.

One was released but three – identified only as A. D., Y. O., and S. C. – were remanded in custody.

Investigations are ongoing.
