Cops Catch Schoolboy With Assault Rifle After OAP Shot
This is the moment US cops chase and arrest a 15-year-old boy for killing an elderly man in a petrol station during a drive-by shooting.
The shooting took place at a Mobil petrol station in the city of Toledo in the US state of Ohio on 10th March, resulting in the death of a 74-year-old man.
The police said that officers stopped the victim in the petrol station because he was drinking an “open bottle of liquor” in the car park.
While trying to identify the elderly man, a car drove by and an occupant fired into the car park area.
Police immediately left the petrol station to chase after the vehicle, during which time a 911 caller reported that the elderly man had been shot by a bullet.
The police said they then chased the suspect on foot before finding a 15-year-old boy hiding with an automatic rifle, and he was arrested and charged with murder and felonious assault.
The victim, named as John Toyer, Jr., was taken to hospital where he later died of his gunshot wound.
The teen suspect, Kevin Taylor, Jr., later appeared in a juvenile court on charges of murder and two counts of felonious assault on a police officer.
