Crooks That Lept From Speeding Van Are Nabbed By Cops

CLEARCREEK, WARREN COUNTY, OHIO – An OSHP Aviation unit assisted the Clearcreek Township Division of Police in locating a stolen van before suspects involved in several robberies. Officers responded to a call around 8.30 p.m. about an ongoing theft involving a white minivan in Patricia Allyn Park in Clearcreek Township in Warren County in Ohio on 8th June. The officers noticed that the minivan that corresponds to the description was linked to several robberies in the region. As police drove to the reported address, they passed a white van travelling west on State Route 73 on Horizon Hill Drive. Officers turned to catch the van, but it headed north on Bunnell Hill Road and tried to escape. While the van continued north, two suspects jumped out of the speeding vehicle. One of them entered a wooded area but the other was too badly injured to flee and was arrested at the scene. He was taken to Kettering Hospital. The other suspect who left the van was caught after Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) used thermal imaging of the helicopter from the police aviation unit to track him in a wooded area. Both suspects who were caught were hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the pursuit, two other suspects managed to get away.
