Moment Californian Lifeguards And Coastguard Rescue Three Men Stranded On Rocks As Waves Crash Around Them
This is the risky moment Californian lifeguards and the coastguard rescue three men after they were stranded on rocks with waves crashing all around them while surfing in dangerous conditions.
Three men were rescued by California State Parks lifeguards and by a US Coast Guard after being stranded on rocks off Pescadero State Beach in California in the United States on 9th May.
Authorities answered the call about three young men stranded on the rocks surrounded by water near Pescadero State Beach shortly after 7 p.m.
When the rescue crews arrived at the scene they found three men between the ages of 18 and 20 who were at a distance of 183 metres (200 yards) offshore after they went surfing when the tide was low but the men were stuck when the waves receded.
According to the officials, the men were rescued by California State Parks lifeguards by the board in the water, while one was rescued by a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter hoist operation.
The men received the necessary medical care after being rescued.
California Fire officials said: “The surf was pretty rough.”
“They were on a small rock outcropping, tight together to stay out of the water.
“The tide can rise very quickly, so it’s important to check beach conditions before you go to the beach.”
