Strong Winds Send Workshop Roof Flying Into The Air Like A Kite

This is the moment strong winds in Iran send the entire roof of a workshop flying into the air like a kite.

Winds with speeds of up to 125kph (78 mph) were recorded in the city of Parsian in the southern Iranian province of Hormozgan over the weekend.

Local residents said they have not seen a storm like it in the region for many years.

The local authorities confirmed that a 26-year-old man was killed during the storm when a wall collapsed on him in a suburban area.

The mayor of Parsian, Mahmoud Molavi, said winds were recorded as high as 125kph, not seen in the region for decades.

According to reports, the storm also caused extensive damage to urban buildings and local homes as well as uprooting trees across town.

In the footage, workers are heard yelling in a yard as the roof of a nearby workshop starts shaking in the strong wind.

Three workers approach the building before the entire roof section breaks loose and takes off into the air like a kite.

Meanwhile, the three men spin on their heels and run to safety to avoid being hit by any flying debris.
