This is the moment a man sets fire to a Mercedes car and also reportedly damages an Audi at the scene.

The arson attack took place in the village of Woodville, in the English county of Derbyshire at around 8.15pm on 19th February.

The police shared the footage to call on the public to come forwards with any information that may help the investigation.

Derbyshire Police said in a statement on 1st March: “Officers investigating arson in Woodville have released CCTV of the moment a car was set on fire.

“The force was called at 8.15pm on Saturday 19 February to reports of a car fire in High Street, Woodville.

“At the scene, a Mercedes and an Audi were found to have been badly damaged.

“CCTV viewed by officers captured the moment that the offender, who is believed to have been riding a motorcycle, set the Mercedes alight, with the fire then spreading to the Audi.

“Investigations are ongoing into the incident and officers are keen to speak to anyone who has any information that can assist with their enquiries.”
