Moment Chinese Woman Celebrates 121st Birthday With Loved Ones

This is the moment a Chinese woman celebrates her 121st birthday with loved ones.

Zhu Zheng, who lives in the community of Yunhua in the city of Chengdu in the Chinese province of Sichuan, was born on the second day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar in 1900, according to the news site Baidu.

It is unclear if the woman has a birth certificate to prove her age, but if indeed 121 years old, she would be older than the world’s oldest person, Kane Tanaka from Japan who is 118 years and 255 days old.

A large bash was held in honour of Zhu on her alleged 121st birthday and reports said one of the guests was also over 100 years old.

The OAP was presented with a three-tier cake and she even wore a birthday hat over her knitted cap as guests sang songs and paid tribute to her long life.

According to Baidu, Zhu had five children although it was not reported how many grandchildren and great-grandchildren are in the family.

However, she reportedly gets on well with all her in-laws, and all the children stay at home until they are married.

Her relatives told local media that Zhu never loses her temper, dislikes rich foods, and mainly eats porridge with a glass of milk.

She eats meat for every dinner and her favourite is double-cooked pork.

The modest OAP is very house-proud and she continues to take good care of herself, washing herself with a flannel before bed every night.
