An aircraft bomber from World War II took a flight from the Estrella Warbird aviation museum and landed on Schoonover Army Airfield in Fort Hunter Liggett army base.

The thrilling flight was organized for the “Open day” event organized by Fort Hunter Liggett army base in Monterey County, California in the United States on the 15th of May.

In a video, by the army base, the historic aircraft named “Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber” can be seen smoothly landing on the ground.

According to the Fort Hunter Liggett, “the touchdown was so gentle that very little dust was kicked up” by the aircraft.

“Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber” arrived with special guests who were treated to a variety of events.

Fort Hunter Liggett’s “Open day” was organized to present to the public World War II vehicles from the Estrella Warbird Museum in their original glory.

The “Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber” is a World War II C-47aircraft build in Oklahoma City by Douglas Aircraft in 1943. It is a well-preserved sample of one of the era’s most popular transport planes.

The vehicle serves as a historical and educational resource.

The aircraft still flies to this day appearing at special events like the 75th Anniversary of the Normandy Landing, and the 70th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift which happened in 20219.
