South Lake Tahoe Police Officer Puts Out Fortest Fire Near A High School

This is the moment three officers from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department extinguish a forest fire in a wooded area near a high school.

The fire occurred in the city of South Lake Tahoe in California, on Friday, 14th of May early in the morning.

Officers Simon, Roesch, and Fritz responded to a call about a fire that was slowly spreading.

On the video from Officer Simon’s body camera footage, it can be seen that officer Simon has retrieved a fire extinguisher from his patrol car and ran towards the spreading flames. The officer began extinguishing burning areas along with the two other officers.

According to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, Officer Simon lost his childhood home in the Angora fire, and “he knows firsthand the kind of damage fire in the basin can cause”.

The cause of this fire is not determined yet and it is under investigation.

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is asking everyone who has any information about the fire to report them to the police.
