This is the moment a cute dog ‘sings’ along with an elderly Chinese man playing the flute.

The videos were filmed at the man’s house in the town of Zigong in the landlocked Chinese province of Sichuan in May and shared online by his granddaughter Ms Xie.

Ms Xie said she brought her dog along to her grandfather’s house to run around his garden when the pooch was suddenly taken by his flute playing.

She said that her dog, seven years old, did not know her grandfather well and suddenly started following him around.

When the elderly man sat down to play his flute, the dog hopped up beside him and accompanied his melodies with its own form of singing.

In the footage filmed by Ms Xie, her grandfather is seen playing the flute on a bed as the white pooch lifts its head and starts whining to the music.

In another clip, the granddad plays his flute in front of a window looking out onto a lush green garden as the dog sits on the desk in front him, crooning along to the melody.
