This is the shocking moment when a suspect shoots an officer and injures another officer, while they were trying to handcuff him. The incident happened around 1.30am during an Electronic dance music concert at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on 4th July. Special events officers tried to arrest the man after he assaulted a stadium guard. While trying to take the suspect to a security cell, Lyndon Truong, 28, grabbed the Metro officers own firearm, fired it and injured two police officers. One officer was struck by the bullet, another received shrapnel wounds. Both officers receive medical assistance and are expected to make a full recovery.

Troung is currently hospitalized at University Medical Center due to drug problems but has yet to appear in court “for medical reasons”. when he recovers he will face numerous charges such as Battery with a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm, Battery with a deadly weapon on a first responder, Resisting a public officer with a firearm, Discharging a firearm within a structure.
