Double Jabbed Woman Feeling Faint After Being Given Sinovac COVID Shot Instead Of Contraceptive Jab
A woman was left with heart palpitations and feeling dizzy after she was accidentally given a Sinovac COVID vaccine instead of a contraceptive shot – made even worse by the fact that she had already been double jabbed against the coronavirus.
The woman, named as Hiu Ying, 32, underwent the procedure in the area of Tai Po in Hong Kong in south-eastern China on Thursday.
She told local media that she knew something was amiss when she spotted the needle was much longer than the previous times she had the contraceptive jab.
Local media said the patient checked with the doctor and he told her it was the Sinovac COVID jab. She responded that she was there to get the contraceptive vaccine not Sinovac.
According to reports, the doctor confessed to the error and suggested giving her the contraceptive shot, however, she declined because she had already had both Pfizer-BioNTech jabs and now apparently a Sinovac vaccine.
She also asked the medic to report the error to the local authorities which he promised to do.
Hiu asked the medic to check if her blood pressure had increased, to confirm her fears that it had shot up after the jab.
Feeling dizzy with an increased heart rate, the woman checked-in to a local medical centre with a doctor’s letter explaining the situation.
Hiu said: “I feel that the doctor is a little irresponsible. Even after it happened, he seemed confused, not knowing how to handle it.
The woman confirmed that she is thinking about filing a complaint with the Hong Kong medical authorities.
