This is the moment a female shoplifter falls over while trying to clamp property stolen from a pharmacy between her legs and walk at the same time.

A security camera filmed the tragicomic incident as it unfolded in the pharmacy in the Brazilian city of Campina Grande.

The footage shows how the woman takes a large item off a shelf and stashes it under her skirt while no employees are watching her.

She then picks up another item, but she suddenly loses her balance as she tries to walk with the item stashed under her dress.

She then grabs onto the shelf, knocking its contents to the floor, before falling to the floor herself in an embarrassing position with her skirt caught on the corner of the shelf, covering her face.

An employee then rushes over to help the woman with the item she had tried to steal visible in between her exposed thighs.

It is not clear when the incident took place. However, the footage was shown on a local TV channel on Tuesday, 29th June.

The woman’s identity has not been divulged. However, she appears to be middle-aged to elderly. Her current health status is unclear, and it is not known if she faces charges for attempted theft.

According to workers at the pharmacy, she appeared to be drunk at the time of the incident.

The footage subsequently went viral on social media, racking up tens of thousands of views.

Facebook user ‘Jka Souzaa Olinto’ from Campina Grande commented: “This is punishment. God sees everyone who commits these transgressions, but I hope she is okay.”
