Toddler Smashes TV By Throwing Toy At TV Villain To Defend His Hero

This is the moment a nappy-wearing tot throws a toy dumper truck at the TV screen and smashes it as he tries to defend his favourite superhero, who is getting a beating from a villain.

The incident was filmed at the boy’s home in the city of Chengdu in the Chinese province of Sichuan, and the footage was widely shared on the social network Douyin.

The young lad was watching the Japanese-produced TV series ‘Ultraman Taiga’ when he was overcome with emotion during one particular fight scene, and decided to wade in and help out his hero.

In the home surveillance footage, the tot is seen picking up a plastic toy and hurling it at the screen as Ultraman fights a foe, apparently to defend his beloved superhero.

The excited lad then pulls a superhero pose before picking up a nearby plastic container and hitting the TV again. He then throws the container behind him and knocks over a bin.

The young boy then stops his superhero game and neatly tidies up the mess he made, picking up the fallen rubbish items and placing them back in the bin.

The footage ends with the boy jumping excitedly in front of the damaged TV to watch the rest of Ultraman on the part of the TV that is still functioning.

The boy’s mother Ms Liu said she did not realise the TV was broken for a while, later discovering how it got damaged when reviewing the CCTV video and adding that they went out and bought a new one afterwards.
