Dog Chases Away Large Bear At Military Camp In Tibet

This is the moment a large bear is chased away by a dog at a military camp in Tibet.

The incident was filmed at a military facility in the south-western Chinese autonomous region of Tibet and the footage has been widely shared on the Chinese social network Douyin, also known as TikTok.

Military instructor Guo Yuanguo was walking the Tibetan mastiffs around the facilities when they spotted the large bear in the grounds.

The instructor informed colleagues to seek shelter as a precaution while the dogs barked at the Tibetan blue bear (Ursus arctos pruinosus) to try to scare it away.

The bear reportedly tried to attack one feisty mastiff several times, but the dog managed to get away and continued to bark at the stocky animal until it eventually left.

The Tibetan blue bear remained in the camp for around 20 minutes before being driven away by the mastiff named Xiao Hei.

In the footage, the bear is seen standing by a wall as two dogs bark at it from inside the camp, eventually making it scamper away as a yak looks on in the background.

The second clip shows the dog running past the bear before the stocky animal gives chase.
