Moment Chinese Villager Takes Herd Of Sheep On Train
This is the bizarre moment a Chinese man ushers his herd of sheep through a busy train carriage in China.
The incident was filmed on a ‘poverty alleviation slow train’ from Puxiong to Panzhihua in the landlocked Chinese province of Sichuan.
The train line runs for 353 kilometres, passes 26 train stations, and lasts just over nine hours during a full route.
Passengers posted footage of the man transporting a herd of sheep on the train as well as another snap of a different man with a drove of pigs on the Chinese social network Douyin.
According to local media, the animals were being transported to market. It was not revealed if they need tickets.
The fare for people for the whole journey costs between CNY 2 and 22.5 (GBP 20p and 2.50) and like a bus service, the ‘poverty alleviation slow train’ allows children to commute to school at low prices.
Often, villagers sell agricultural and side products on the train such as eggs, poultry, and even live ducks, geese, pigs and sheep, according to the news site Baidu, although in the case of the flock of sheep and herd of pigs they were being taken to market.
The low fares and opportunity to sell local goods gives passengers the chance to travel cheaply and make some money on the way.
In the first video, the man is seen passing through the train with a herd of sheep.
While leaving one carriage with the sheep, the man passes two pigs tied to a window apparently owned by someone else.
The second video shows another man this time with the pigs.
