This is the moment a mother lifts up her floor tiles so her two tots have the impression they are playing in a sandpit.

The incident was filmed at the family home in the city of Shangqiu in the Chinese province of Henan, and the footage has been widely shared on the Chinese social network Douyin, also known as TikTok.

The mother, name not disclosed, said she removes the floor tiles so her two children have a sandpit area to play in.

The tiles are moveable and the mum uses a handheld plunger device to lift them up and expose the ‘sandy play area’.

In the first clip, the little girl is seen playing in the sandpit in front of her mum, relaxing on a living room chair.

The second video shows how the mother lifts up her floor tiles to reveal the play area.

In the third clip, the woman’s two children are seen positioning toys around the exposed floor area, and the girl starts to erect a nice fence to go around the border.

The fourth video shows the boy playing alone in the sandpit and the fifth clip shows how the mother cleans up after every play session.
