Aerial Pursuit For A Driver Who Tried To Evade Arrest #ZYT
Oakland, California, 3rd July
The CHP – Golden Gate Division Air Operations helicopter 30 assisted in the pursuit of a vehicle where the driver was fleeing from the officers for over 50 minutes. The pursuit took place in the Oakland area in Califonia, the United States on the 3rd of July. The driver, who accelerated to more than 130 miles per hour (209 kilometres per hour ) weaved in between lanes while fleeing on ground patrol. After a while, the on-ground crew ended their pursuit while CHP H-30 and Oakland Police Augus Helicopters were able to follow the suspect from above. Racing down the street the driver was involved in a non-injury collision. After the crash, several police vehicles surrounded the stopped car. The driver was put under arrest. The investigation of the incident is ongoing.
