Firemen Rip Down Ceiling To Expose Blazing Inferno In Shared Attic In California Property

This is the moment that firefighters rip down a ceiling exposing a raging inferno above their heads as they tackle a blaze in an apartment complex that damaged 16 apartments in Fresno in California.

The fire started at the Oakbrook Apartments complex in the 300 block of South Argyle Avenue in the Sunnyside area in Fresno, California in the United States on Sunday.

Fresno Fire Department crew arrived and saw the fire on the patio of a second-story unit.

The firefighters were able to put out the fire outside the unit quickly.

Due to gusty winds, the flames spread to the shared attic. In order to stop the fire from spreading even further, firefighters had to open the ceiling.

After the fire was extinguished, fire and smoke damage was reported to six units and another 10 sustained water damage.

According to the Fire Department, the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.

No injuries were reported.

According to the Fire Department, it is not known how many people would need to arrange temporary housing, but about 38 reached out to the Red Cross for help.
